After cleansing and exfoliating, use a hot towel to open the pores of the skin. Knowing the direction of your hair growth is important, as this is the only sure fine way to be irritation free. Apply your desired Pre-Shave product to the skin either, with fingers or a Shaving Brush. It is recommended that you start with the sideburns and the side of the face, pulling the skin tight from the neck, put the razor to the face - no pressure should be required, an angle of 30 degrees should be sufficient. Using short strokes, following the hair growth pattern, once this area is smooth move to the neck. Ensuring that you follow the hair growth this area should follow the same technique, short strokes and a gentle angle - again no pressure is required. Finally the lip and chin area - hair can be more corse around the lip area so add a little warm water to give extra moister. Pull the skin tight with your free hand and follow the hair growth. Once done make sure you rinse off all the pre shave excess and use cold water to splash the cleanly shaved area to close up the pores. Select a Post-shave product to sooth and repair. Rinse your straight cut razor under running water then dab it dry with a cloth or towel. To avoid wear and tear oil your blade after each use. Another tip is to use a Razor Strop every 10-15 shaves.
